Our Mission
Since 1955, Lakewood Kiwanis Foundation has distributed in excess of $2,700,000.00 in college scholarships to Lakewood residents graduating from local high schools. For over 80 years, the Kiwanis Club of Lakewood Ohio has awarded annual scholarships to college-bound students in May of every year. These graduates have gone on to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, professors, engineers, pastors and even the president of a bank. The Kiwanis Club of Lakewood Ohio since 1921 has been serving the children of Lakewood, Ohio. Many of the efforts of the past are still visible today throughout Lakewood. The Pavilion at Lakewood Park, the sign in front of the Board of Education and the track at First Federal of Lakewood Stadium are just a small sampling of the good works done by this organization. Perhaps the biggest impact over the years has been the annual awarding of $50,000-$100,000 in scholarships to college bound seniors that are Lakewood residents.
